Explore Graphs

Explore Graphs display the high-level relationships between entities, helping you visualize how your data connects without diving into structural details.

The Explore Graph provides a high-level view of entity relationships, allowing you to visualize how entities are connected. You can select entities, zoom and navigate the graph, and explore multiple generations of relationships.

Accessing the Explore Graph

  1. Navigate to Documentation>Explore

  2. Click into the Search Entity input field

    • A list of all entities will display

  3. Select an entity from the list, or begin typing to narrow down the options.

Adjusting Graph Display

  • Default view: The graph shows both Source and Target entities with 1 generation of relationships.

  • Relationship dropdown: Focus the graph view on Source, Target, or both entity relationships.

  • Generation dropdown: Expand the graph to display up to 4 generations of related entities.

Interacting with the Graph

  • Select a different entity by clicking on the entity name or dot.

    • The graph updates to reflect the selected entity.

  • Use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out.

  • Click and drag to pan across the graph.

Note: Once an entity is selected, you can navigate between the Catalog, Relationship, and Lineage pages to see additional information on that selected entity.
