Relationship Graphs

The Relationship Graph visually shows how entities in a database, such as tables or objects, are connected to one another.

The Relationship Graph provides a visual map of how entities in your database are connected, showing both source and target relationships. Each entity’s columns that are connect display, along with the type of relationship—such as one-to-one or one-to-many.

Accessing the Relationship Graph

  1. Navigate to Documentation > Relationships.

  2. Click into the Search Entity input field.

    • A list of all entities will display.

  3. Select an entity from the list, or begin typing to narrow down the options.

Understanding the Graph

Entity colors:

  • Selected entity – green

  • Source entities – blue

  • Target entities – yellow

Relationship lines:

  • 1:1 – single horizontal line at both ends

  • 1:many – crow’s foot symbol on one end, single line on the other

Interacting with the Graph

  • Click the Search icon on an entity to select it and update the graph.

  • Click a column to focus on relationships for that specific column.

  • Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

  • Click and drag to pan across the graph.

Note: Once an entity is selected, you can navigate between the Catalog, Explore, and Lineage pages to see additional information on that selected entity.
