Accessing Scaffold AI Detection

Once your AI Detection instance is created, the Point of Contact will receive an email with their login details. From there, they can proceed to set up the instance or invite more users.

Setting Up Scaffold AI Detection

Apply Institution Theme

To update the theme on your institution’s AI Detection instance:

  1. Select Admin in the Navigation menu.

  2. Select Styling

  3. Click the Upload Logo to replace the current logo for light and dark mode.

  4. Click the Color buttons, to update the colors to use for the theme.

  5. Preview the new colors and ensure they will meet accessibility requirements.

  6. Click Save

Changes will apply in a few minutes after saving.

Inviting Users

To add users

  1. Go to Users & Roles in the navigation menu.

  2. Click Add User.

  3. Enter email addresses on the User Create page.

  4. Click Process.

  5. Review and adjust the list of accounts.

  6. Click Create Accounts.

Note:

  • Only create accounts for users who should have access directly in Scaffold AI. Faculty accounts will be created automatically when they select the AI Detection tool in their Canvas course.

  • If any errors are detected in the User Account you are creating, you will need to resolve those errors prior to the account being created (e.g. email aliases or usernames already in use).

Creating the Integration to Canvas

The integration between AI and Canvas has two parts.

  • Integrating Canvas and Scaffold AI Detection

  • Canvas LTI Launch, that allows faculty to view the Course Probability Reports directly in their Canvas Courses.

Importing Terms

After the integration has been created in Scaffold AI, you will then want to select terms to import.

To add a term to import,

  1. From the integrations page, select the edit icon next to the integration that was created.

  2. Scroll to the Terms to Import section.

  3. Click + Add Term

  4. In the Term Select dialog, select a Term

  5. Close the dialog window

  6. Turn on Auto Import Terms

  7. Click Save

The courses for the selected terms will start processing. Completion time will vary based on the number and size of the courses.
